I wonder what's this feeling that I'm feeling.

A new found experience

So I've just finished my first shift at Coffee Bean last night. People always have this perception where I am a spoilt child where I can't do any work. I admit that I never do any of the house chores because I have the maids doing it but I am very professional and I take my job seriously when given one. The district manager even said I was good =)

Last night was a lot of first time for me. I wiped and cleared tables, wash the dishes, made ice blended drinks, did the closing for the shop, mopped the floor, met the district manager, employee trainer, and the head chef.

I started at 5 pm and ended worked until around 12:30 am

I've always wanted to work in a field pertaining to customer service and food. I guess I've found it =) Although I do not really drink the coffee from Coffee Bean or Starbucks, I have to say... the coffee beans Coffee Bean uses are just so aromatic..... I had the opportunity to smell them when Faiz(one of the trainee) opened a new bag of them. The workers in Coffee Bean that I've met so far are great.

My work schedule are on the weekends so do drop by Bangsar Shopping Centre's Coffee Bean and you might just see yours truly as a Barista Trainee =)

Oh, and yea.. I get to choose anything I want to snack on from the muffin display if I work for 6 hours and I get to order something else from the menu if I work for 8 hours. =)

Will be going to AKLTG to work later then I'm off to Coffee Bean again after I'm done in AKLTG. Well at least now I don't have to stay cope up in the room on weekends.... =)

Any given day

Life's been kinda complicated with so many things happening lately...... I've experienced some new feelings and so far some are good but most of all, they are feelings that I wished I had not experienced.

I got a feeling =D

So, I've just came back from Sandakan which i stayed there for 2 weeks. While I was back there, I helped mum with her project which is helping a kindergarden paint a mural.

As you can see, my mum was outlining where the mural will be and basically she was the artist and I was her assistant la =D. Painting this mural was quite challenging because the wall wasnt actually smooth. What made it worst is that the wall, is actually the toilet wall. Yea, got free ammonia smell.That girl is my maid's daughter. She was there helping out too. If you are wondering how we did the background, we basically used cloth dipped with paint and wipe the whole wall, then later when the paint is half dry, we smudge it with the other colors so that it blends in.


Mum drew fishes and other sea creatures. She had stacks of books with her so that she can really create an undersea world. You guys should have seen the books, she actually did her research in advance and marked the books' pages so that she can reference them later on with ease. *claps hands*

Some of the kids, cancel that. Most of the kids crowded around us whenever they have recess. It's kinda funny when all the little kids stand around you. They are all like dwarfs XD. Anyways, because my mum told the principal earlier that she does not want anybody disturbing her while she paints, the principal must have had briefed her teachers on keeping the kids away. LOL whenever the kids came near us, the teacher would shout at them :S my mum meant "not disturbing" as in nobody come and talk crap with her. My mum dont mind the kids watching actually because it cultivates their creativity and it fulfills their curiosity. I remember one boy in particular, when his classmates was near our paint, he was warning them to stay back XD so cute.

Well, in total it took us four days to complete the entire mural. Here is the end result

Why you might ask, because i did most of the things in this picture like the shading of the shell and the coral =D You need to see the real thing, it looks nicer, my sis edited the pictures so it looks kinda dark which gave the coral a black color. Actually there are some purple and black in it.

Oh~ I am suppose to have a post for my OLDER sis because she helped me with the editing of the photos.
Okay, obviously the girl is my older sis. XD thanks again Denise. :P I do a proper post for you next time when you have a nicer photo. An individual photo.


I was actually also able to meet up with some of my primary school friends. I think the last time I saw them was when I was 12 XD. They are still the same bunch of friends. When we met up, we just clicked and started joking and talking about the old times.

2 weeks in Sandakan just flew by, I am excited about 3rd semester which begins tomorrow by the way, but I dont mind a couple more days in Sandakan =) I miss being pampered, having your fruits cut, baju cuci by the maids, got car to drive around, unlimited funds XD. Okay I got a confession, even my luggage was packed by my mum and maid :P

Here we go again.....

Just came back from volleyball which we played under the rain =D not many turned up today but me and Chee Leong manage to get some practice. We were drenched by the time we finished the volleyball session.

Anyways, 2 more weeks then it is finals for the second semester. I would be lying if i said i have not been slacking for this semester. GAH!!!! got to turn the studying intensity up =D. My goal for this semester is to get A for Managerial accounting, A for Business Statistics, B for Marketing, and an A for Business Law =). Could not possibly get and A for Marketing already thanks to the lecturer =(

Well, at least I have found my motivation to at least start revising on Managerial Accounting. Need to help a friend with her accounting revision. From the first day of Managerial Accounting class, the lecturer has told us that not many students are able to get an A, I am going to prove him wrong XD.

Looking forward to end of second semester. Papa and Mummy I already know what you can buy me if I am able to achieve my goal ;)

Imperfections

Imperfection........We all are. It really is a sad fact that we all crave to be accepted for our imperfections, but we somehow find it hard to accept others' imperfection.

Imperfections is what makes life interesting and at the same time it allows us as a human being to learn to cope with each other and bring out the best in people and not just look at the tainted side of a person. Learning to accept another person for who they are is something that we all have to learn.

Us as human beings cannot survive without a companion or better yet friends. Learning to forgive easily is something that I have learned recently. I always used to say "I would never say sorry first". One of my friend said something to me and come to think of it, it really does. She said that time changes people. A couple of weeks ago, I finally made peace with MJ.

Time has taught me humility and on that fateful day, I actually took action and apologized to MJ. I noticed that I never deleted his handphone number from my phonebook and deep down I know that there is a reason why.

To someone out there, learn to forgive easily as I did and life would be so much more. I really hope you do not bring this attitude out to the working environment.

I told you before that I would always be there for you and I mean it. If you ever need my help, do not hesitate to ask. If you ever decide to start talking to me again, it would all go back to how it was.

I really hope our friendship is not so fragile that something so insignificant can shatter it.

Origami =)

Recently started origami as one of my past time =)

They say this fold isn't for beginners ^^ I guess i proved them wrong. I took me a while to learn it but I finally managed to create one last 2 nights ago around 1:30 a.m. if I'm not mistaken. Well, looks like my perseverance, determination, and hard work paid off. =) It still needs improving though. I think I'm in love with folding roses. =)
